Menu

At Kate’s Kitchen, flavor comes first. The menu you see here is not an exhaustive list—just a starting point. If you don’t see the flavor you’re dreaming about, you’re welcome to submit a request or reach out directly. I love creating custom bakes and trying new combinations.
Just make sure there’s enough time for a test run before your final delivery date!

Style

I keep designs simple, intentional, and always focused on taste. I don’t typically add decorations that don’t contribute to flavor, and I lean toward clean, minimal frosting and icing styles.

That said, themed treats do have a special place in my heart. From panna cotta eyeballs for Halloween to handcrafted fondant poinsettias for holiday cupcakes—I’m always open to creative ideas when they enhance the experience.

What you can expect:

  • Occasional themed elements for special occasions
  • Flavor-forward designs
  • Clean, simple, elegant finishes

Ingredients

My baking style blends traditional techniques with thoughtful ingredient choices. I often use unconventional or nutrient-rich ingredients to improve texture, flavor, and overall balance.

You might find:

  • Potato, sweet potato, or squash in bread doughs for softness and moisture
  • Alternative flours or sugars in cakes and muffins
  • Organic ingredients whenever possible
  • Lower-glycemic and higher-nutrient options thoughtfully incorporated

I wouldn’t call most of my baked goods healthy, but I do aim to make them a little less unhealthy—without ever compromising on taste.

Gluten-Free Options

I offer gluten-free versions of many cakes, muffins, and bars. These aren’t made in a certified gluten-free kitchen, but I take care to avoid cross-contact where possible. Please note that gluten-free options are not available for breads, rolls, or pastries, as those items rely on gluten structure for proper texture.

If you have questions about ingredients or sensitivities, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help you find the right fit.

A Note About Food Coloring

Whenever possible, I use natural dyes made from fruits, vegetables, and plant-based powders. Some vibrant shades—especially deep blues, reds, and blacks—may still require traditional food coloring, but I keep it to a minimum and choose higher-quality options when needed.

If you prefer fully natural coloring, just let me know and I’ll happily tailor your order.

Jams & Fillings

Most of my jams, curds, and fillings are made from scratch, using whole ingredients and as many local or seasonal options as I can find. This keeps flavors bright and balanced—and lets me offer combinations you won’t find in a store-bought jar.

If you have a favorite fruit or flavor profile in mind, feel free to ask. I love building custom fillings for special orders.
